- It controls SG and MG. It has built in flexible rule-based routing and digit manipulation, real time billing over RADIUS AAA and optional user defined application control based on CCXML and VXML.
The following figure depicts the relations between the logical components. COSMOS SS7 to SIP Gateway is flexible and provides different options of configurations, depends on the system scale.

It provides MGC, SG and MG function in a box.
Capacity:
1. Up to 128 E1/T1
2. BHCA up to 360,000

It provides SS7 gateway in two machines sharing the same point code. It has higher level of system availability. Even if one machine is down, the other can continue the service.
Total capacity:
1. Up to 256 E1/T1
2. BHCA up to 720,000

It provides SG in two machines sharing the same point code with distributed MGC and MG architecture for supporting multiple application hosts. System availability and scalability are greatly enhanced. Up to 64 application hosts (MGC and MG) can be supported with system capacity more than 2000 E1/T1. The following figure depicts the multiple MGC deployment.
